Band 3 - Nursing Associate Student - Full Time (Multiple Vacancies)

This role is looking for individuals who are looking to undertake the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship Programme.

PLEASE NOTE - IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY ON A VISA, YOU NEED TO HAVE BEEN IN THE UK FOR 3 YEARS AND YOUR CURRENT VISA NEEDS TO COVER THE ENTIRETY OF THE COURSE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME.

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SABP) is building a new Mental Health Inpatient Service in Chertsey, Surrey.

Silverwood will contain four adult inpatient wards and is due to open inFebruary 2025. Our ambition is to transform inpatient mental healthcare for our local population.

The new unit will provide 64 beds all with single ensuite bedrooms, two lounges and a dedicated garden for each ward, as well as a woodland area for supervised walks.

For our colleagues working here, there will be access to kitchenettes, a lounge, and a dedicated garden. There will also be an education suite with state-of-the-art digital equipment.

This role is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to be part of a new service providing excellent care to our patients within a state-of-the-art facility. You will work with experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We are developing new ways of working and want you to be part of the team who will provide effective assessment, treatment, and high-quality care to our patients.

Main duties of the job

To work as a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary team providing direct care to people using our services.

Develop positive relationships with the people who use our services, and their carers, adopting a pragmatic and non-judgemental approach and encourage and support individuals to participate in ways which support their individual recovery journey.

To promote health and prevent ill health by developing and delivering an agreed integrated, high quality of care in a variety of settings. This role will be accountable to a designated qualified nurse
