Job summary
Our Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS) Runnymede and Spelthornee is looking for Assistant Occupational Therapist.
We are a secondary mental health team who provides assessments for evidence based, time limited treatment and psychological interventions for adults with severe and enduring mental health issues. The focus of our whole service is promoting recovery and independence and developing self-management strategies to encourage people to achieve their potential in the community.
Your role is to provide accessible, high-quality and evidence based occupational therapy interventions to individuals, carers and families.
The candidate must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of this role.

- A strong commitment to a 'learning culture' where reflection, training & supervision are used to develop self-awareness, improve clinical outcomes & develop team functioning.
- A belief in learning from 'experts by experience': valuing the perspectives offered by the person with a mental health condition, family, & carers.
- Valuing tact, integrity & diplomacy when providing sensitive feedback or handling emotionally charged situations.
