Job summary

Assist with pre-employment checks, recruitment files within the services, key performance indicators when required, and pastoral support for overseas nurses is effectively implemented.

To update Trac jobs appropriately following interviews as and when required.

To provide assistance to the International Recruitment Project Officer, recruiting manager and candidates.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high quality, effective service to the Trust and working with the International Recruitment Project Officer, International Recruitment Advisor and Matron - International Recruitment Lead to develop the service.

Main duties of the job

Providing support to the International Recruitment (IR) Team, pastoral support to Internationally Educated Nurses and ensuring relevant support is given for pre-employment checks and recruitment file to be undertaken in a timely, accurate and effective manner.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Assist with updating Trac jobs, liaising with managers and candidates when required.

Assist with preparing recruitment files, including download and uploading successful applications and saving all the documentation in the employee files.

Assist with reviewing reference information provided on successful candidates application forms, requesting appropriate references, and highlighting inappropriate ones to the International Recruitment Advisor.

Assist with reviewing successful applications for employment gaps and highlighting to the International Recruitment Advisor.

Assisting with any Trac, HR (e.g. pre-employment processes, passport checks at interviews etc.) and ESR related work as and when required.

Liaise with the RA team for smart cards as well as ID cards and smart cards distribution.

Assist with any logistics requirements e.g., dropping off banners/corporate merchandise at HQ, collecting and dropping off laptops, ordering corporate merchandise, t-shirts for nurses, grocery shopping for new arrivals.

Assist with setting up Guilden Village (Accommodation in Guildford) for new cohort arrivals with support from the International Recruitment Team.

Responsible for the collection and distribution of keys (Annandale Accommodation in Guildford), inspection and induction of accommodations (Guilden Village and Annandale - Guildford).

Assist the International Recruitment Advisor with any nurses queries related to accommodation e.g., liaising with the property and estates department about any queries from nurses.

Update Trac jobs and Electronic Staff Records (ESR) with the DBS outcome received from Employment services.

Providing tour of training venues with newly arrived nurses.

To support senior colleagues to accompany Internationally Educated Nurses to Northern Ireland for their Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), when required.

Supporting all pastoral care needs of Internationally Educated Nurses and liaising with the International Recruitment Team to resolve issues that may arise.

Any other support or administrative tasks required by the IR Advisor and the IR Lead.
