Job summary

We are looking for a part-time Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly and innovative EIIP Service. The role offers excellent opportunities to gain experience toward clinical psychology training, including co-facilitating group work and supporting service development initiatives. There is opportunity for both supervised clinical work and indirect work that supports the delivery of psychological interventions.

We work with people aged between 14 and 65 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis.

You will be part of the therapies team, working alongside a CBT Therapist and Clinical and Counselling Psychologists. We offer excellent clinical supervision and support and there are a wide range of CPD opportunities available. We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, self-aware and shows a commitment to working with people who experience psychosis. Previous experience with the service user group will be an advantage. Please indicate on the application why you are interested in this particular post.

The post is based in our East Surrey Team based at Horizon House in Epsom with a satellite base in Redhill. The Assistant Psychologist would be required to travel across the East Surrey area and so a driving licence and use of a car is essential. Some remote working continues.

Working days: Monday - Wednesday

This post will close as soon as sufficient applications have been received; we are unable to accept late applications once the post has closed.

Main duties of the job

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people who use services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist working within the service, and by working independently according to a plan agreed with the team leader and the supervising psychologist.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of outcome statistics, and/or other project work as appropriate and agreed with the team leader and supervising psychologist.

To facilitate/co-facilitate the running of therapeutic groups.
