Job summary

Do you want to expand your skills and knowledge base in a role, working with a highly experienced and supportive team, supporting and promoting the health and wellbeing of patients with ADHD through prescribing and review activities?
We want to hear from you if you are a Qualified Non-medical Prescriber, who is highly committed to working with and improving the services for adults (without a learning disability) who have a diagnosis of ADHD.
Main duties of the job
To assess patients referred for ADHD diagnosis; once initial assessment is done, CNS/NMP will discuss with the Consultant Psychiatrist to reach a diagnosis.
To prescribe appropriate medications for the treatment of ADHD: Independent and supplementary prescribing as appropriate.
To inform GP findings of assessments and treatment plans and communicate with GPs, other services and agencies as needed, author and adhere to shared care protocol.
The NMP will hold a caseload of patients and be responsible for their clinical management and follow up/review.
The NMP will be responsible for practicing within competence and working with the Consultants and medical colleagues to ensure that pharmacological therapies are optimised and delivered in accordance with agreed clinical guidelines.
