Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity to develop or expand your clinical and leadership skills as a band 7 Occupational Therapist in community mental health. This role is being offered as a fixed term or secondment role until 1st April 2024.

This role provides clinical oversight and leadership to the community mental health occupational therapists working in CMHRS in East and Mid Surrey as well as our Rehabilitation service Margaret Laurie House in Reigate.
The role has 25 % clinical time and 75% leadership time.
You would be a member of the Trusts Occupational Therapy leadership team and the community mental health services leadership and be able to influence and develop the service at a time when we are undergoing an exciting mental health transformation programme.

compassionate and effective leadership to the occupational therapists within
the service/locality/sector.

To contribute to the
overall leadership of the service/locality/sector.

To provide high
quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions,
both group and individual, to people with complex needs who access services and
their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy
pathways.
4.
To communicate effectively with a range of
clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services,
carers/supporter/family members, stakeholders and agencies.
5.
To provide supervision and mentoring to
occupational therapists within the occupational therapy service.
6.
To ensure the delivery occupational therapy
student placements.
7.
To lead on service development and audits both
within individual services and the wider occupational therapy service.
8.
To be an active member of the overall
occupational therapy leadership team.
9.
To actively contribute to the continuing
professional development (CPD) opportunities within the wider occupational
therapy service.
The position provides leadership
across the following services Mid and East CMHRS teams and will be based across these as suits. The postholder will be expected to work flexibly within all the communityservices, as need arises.
