Job summary
Are you a passionate accredited counsellor with experience of working in primary care, preferably IAPT. Mind Matters are looking to recruit fully accredited Counsellors with demonstrable experience of providing counselling for depression within a counselling organisation.
We would like to hear from you if you can meet these minimum standards for training and professional registration;
- Completion of BACP Accredited Counselling Qualification Level 4 & above, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of450 supervised client hours.
- Completion of the IAPT Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CFD) Training.
For those qualified Counsellors who have not yet completed the PCE-CFD IAPT training, Mind Matters will fund completion of this qualification. Once completed, there is an expectation that you will work for Mind Matters for 1.5 years post training.
You must hold Professional Registration, one of below
- BACP with Full Accreditation
- UKCP with Full Registration
- NCS Fully Accredited professional registrants
- ACC Full Accreditation
Main duties of the job
Mind Matters Surrey IAPT is part of the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust and provides high quality evidence based psychological therapies for people with common mental health problems.
You will be delivering counselling for depression using a stepped care model in line with the national IAPT programme and latest NICE guidance for psychological interventions. The role involves delivering one to one Counselling, Assessments and therapeutic groups.
All staff receive weekly supervision and monthly line management and attend quarterly CPD days which count towards your CPD. Mind Matters has a focus on Staff Wellbeing with a committee who plan staff activities and an annual Wellbeing Day.
The job role will be a blend of home working and will include a minimum of 2 days in person clinics at Redhill Trust Hub location.
As Matters Surrey IAPT services provides psychological treatments Monday Weds 9.00am 8pm and the rest of the week and Saturdays 9-5pm, you will be expected to work a minimum of one late night per week and desirably a Saturday.
