Job summary

Providing comprehensive procurement support, advice and guidance to a broad range of stakeholders to support robust procurement decision making.

Main duties of the job

To deliver and support various categories including Corporate Services, Digital, Estates and Healthcare for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SABP).

The applicant will have knowledge of professional procurement principles and, ideally, NHS or public sector procurement experience, including use of electronic purchasing/procurement systems. The successful candidate will be passionate about improving patients lives through securing high quality, best value for money goods and services, using innovative procurement practices.

The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to join a supportive Integrated Procurement team across two Trusts (SABP & SPFT). The team is level 1 accredited, thrives on continuous improvement, and is on a journey to mature the procurement function both strategically and operationally. You will have the opportunity to contribute to this maturity plan whilst developing your skills via funded professional training such as CIPS, WCC and much more. The successful candidate will have the flexibility of hybrid working and access to a range of non-pay benefits.

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

  • Achieved or willing to work towards being CIPS qualified

  • Understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations and the ability to advise and provide guidance on these within an NHS setting
