User Experience (UX) Designer

Job summary
SABP Digital has the complex challenge of running and building secure and robust digital platforms to deliver and enhance health and care, as well as acting as a driver to improve clinical operations and value for money from the Trust's investment in technology.
Working as a UX Designer you will be part of a design team developing successful digital solutions. You will develop and apply your design skills in service design, interaction design and graphic design or combination. You will:
- Develop designs based on evidence of user needs and organisational outcomes
- Learn to make informed decisions and recognise when to ask for further guidance and support
- Work with experienced designers to develop design concepts
- Be able to Interpret evidence-based research and incorporate this into your work
- Learn how to explain your ideas in a way that other people understand
- Review your work and focus on areas for improvement
You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of a range of design disciplines and understand the importance of design, working to Agile methodologies, and using a shared toolkit of techniques, processes and systems. You will be expected to be flexible and will be comfortable working on different projects and services as business priorities and demands change.
Main duties of the job
Suitable for someone who has excellent communication skills and is able to engage with staff at all levels. Is able to learn new technologies quickly and understands the way technology is used that is paramount to its effectiveness. It will suit someone who has a good level of understanding of UX design and best practices of user centred design and is able to describe both with clarity to team members and project stakeholders.
