Job summary
Kingscroft Care Home Short Break Service and Jasmine House Care Home are looking for enthusiastic senior support workers, to support adults with Learning disabilities.
Kingscroft Care Home- 2 x Full Time Vacancies
Jasmine House Care Home- 2 x Full-time Vacancy
Applicants should have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, be an effective communicator, have high standards, and be sensitive to the needs of people with learning disabilities.
NVQ level 3 in health and social care or equivalent training required. A willingness to work flexible including varied shifts, weekends, nights - our full-time hours are 37.5 per week.
We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people who would like to work as Health Care Support Workers across Surrey and Borders Hospitals, community and social care services.
In this vital care support role, you will develop professional healthcare experience and be part of the nursing team working hands-on in a social care environment to help care for people who have a range of diverse and mental health problems or learning disabilities.
Main duties of the job
Helping the people we support to live a happy and fulfilled life, by supporting them to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.
You will be part of a professional team supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs in the services they access and their wider community. You will be working closely with relatives, carers, friends, advocates, colleagues, other professionals. Supervise support workers on shift providing guidance and support as necessary.
