Job summary
An exciting opportunity to work as the AEDS (Adult Eating Disorders Service) Day Care Service Manager has arisen. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the Day Care facility for working age adults with moderate to severe eating disorders and work in collaboration with people who use our services to support their recovery.
The successful applicant will have NMC Registration or equivalent HCPC registration, and x3 years post qualification experience working in a patient facing role within a mental health setting. While experience of working with people with eating disorders is desirable, we are primarily seeking someone with a keen interest in working in the field and a willingness to develop specialist knowledge of eating disorders and their treatment.
This is an exciting time to be part of a developing, although well established service, with a number of transformation projects in progress. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of the AEDS management steering group, to develop and lead on eating disorder related service delivery initiatives. You will receive regular clinical and managerial supervision and have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills through specialist eating disorders therapies/ treatment training.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will lead and be an integral member of the Adult Eating Disorders Day Care team and will provide specialist intensive treatment to adults (18 years +) with moderate to severe eating disorders and co-existing mental health needs. The main responsibilities of the post holder will include managing and overseeing assessments, keywork provision, MDT meetings, handovers, physical health monitoring, risk management, care planning, meal supervision, group co-facilitation and audit. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical and management supervision to the Day Care clinicians.
