Job summary
We are excited to offer this opportunity to work as a valued Clinical Team Leader within our friendly and supportive team at the Farnham Road Hospital in Guildford. This is a 60 bed Inpatient service supporting the needs of working age adults.
This role will be for the 12 bed PICU.
As Clinical Team Leader you will be given the opportunity to learn and grow into your role. If you are an experienced Band 5 Nurse looking to progress your career, we have many opportunities to expand your knowledge and prepare for your career progression. You will be a source of mental health knowledge and expertise, have vision and resilience to support the ward and your colleagues in keeping the ward environment safe and productive.
Qualified nurses are currently benefiting from Retention Allowance. It is a 10% pay uplift on the top of HCAS Fringe payment. This Premium is subject to a minimum total payment of £4,108 and a maximum total payment of £5,177 p.a. This will be paid on a monthly basis and pro-rata to hours worked.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working with patients with acute and chronic mental health challenges, delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment including risk assessment and risk management plans. There is a great emphasis on physical health care on the unit and staff receive regular training to ensure they are offering up to date interventions and feel confident to carry out care with the patients.
Good communication skills are essential to deliver effective, high quality healthcare, ensuring the ward runs effectively, this includes aspects of people management, safer staffing, support staff development, clinical supervision, clinical effectiveness underpinned by evidence-based care and key performance indicators and CQC standards. The applicant must be compassionate towards both patients and staff and have an open and honest presence.

As Clinical Team Lead you will be supported by a full MDT team, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Advanced Clinical Nurse specialist, Hospital duty Managers and Senior Matrons on the unit.
