Job summary
The Surrey Integrated Service for Young People [HOPE Service] operates from two bases, East Surrey [Woodside Lodge] and West Surrey [Worplesdon Road] and provides a Service for those young people aged 11 to 18 years old presenting with severe mental health, behavioral, emotional and relationship problems. The Service is the link between CAMHS Community team, Surrey Families’ Directorate [Social Care and Education] and the Specialist inpatient services. It offers support to CAMHS community team and Surrey Families’ Directorate, through structured Day Programme and Outreach Teams working in community settings. The Service also provides transitional support for those young people in psychiatric hospital in the process of returning to their local community. The Service considers referrals for psychiatric hospital and from the CAMHS Community Teams as well as Children’s Services Teams and advises of the best appropriate care; this ensures that young people get access to the right level of treatment.
Main duties of the job
Suitable for someone who has effective active listening skills (questioning and summarizing), who can use good use of empathy and diplomacy, build good rapport, knows their own limitations and has good time management.
