Job summary

We are currently recruiting a Band 5 Nurse ( RNLD , RMN , RGN) with understanding and experience of working with people with learning disabilities to join our dedicated team. We welcome applications from student nurses in their final year awaiting pin registration.

Rosewood supports eight Individuals with profound learning disabilities and associated health needs.

We welcome applications from motivated, innovative, forward thinking individuals who are willing to work flexibly as part of a 24 hour / 7 day week service, which include night shift, working weekends and bank holidays.

The team offer clinical and managerial support, the Trust offers professional development courses and the appointed candidate will receive supervision and training.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in accordance with the model used in the service and To be responsible, by agreement with the appropriate manager for the supervision of junior staff and students. To take charge of home the absence of the individual with continuing overall responsibility for their deputy.

The post holder would be expected to participate in forthcoming/future staff rotation schemes. If the post holder is newly qualified they will be offered a comprehensive preceptorship package
