What are we looking for? CYPS Community Team in North West Surrey is looking for a passionate Registered Mental Health Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker who is enthusiastic to come and work at a friendly, committed and established CYPS Mental Health Service where your knowledge and skills will be valued.
As part of a busy CYPS Directorate and alongside our Alliance Partnership including local voluntary sector organisations, you will be ensuring children, young people and families are at the centre of decision making to promote person centred care and outcomes, you will support the Community Team in the implementation of the getting help and getting more help elements of the ITHRIVE framework.
We are looking for a clinician who is creative, highly motivated, show initiative and are passionate and committed for ensuring high quality services for young people with mental health difficulties, along with the relevant leadership and supervision skills.
Excellent opportunities will be available for training and professional development both locally, within SABP network and across the entire alliance including the Tavistock and Portman.
Main duties of the job
We have B6-7 development opportunities with the post holder being a member of the multi-disciplinary specialist team, providing services to children and young people 5-18 years and young people in transition to adult services with mental health needs, emotional and behavioral problems whilst also providing leadership to our IASTTT team.
The main responsibilities of the post holder will be providing assessments and treatment within our Initial Assessment and Short-term Treatment Team (IASTTT) either individually or with a member of the multidisciplinary team depending on the complexity of the referral, both in clinic and community settings. The post holder will be able to offer a range of therapeutic interventions appropriate to the care pathway the young person is on.
As part of a busy CYPS Directorate and alongside our Alliance Partnership including local voluntary sector organisations, you will be supporting the team in leading with the implementation and embedding of the THRIVE Framework across our newly created CYPS Community Team in Surrey.
