Job summary

My job makes better lives by offering an early intervention, short-term counselling service to young people aged 12-24. The service works across the West Surrey and North East Hampshire area, my job focused specifically on delivering the service within the North East Hampshire & Farnham area. I also support the YCS Placement and Volunteer Counsellor workforce.

Suitable for someone who is person centred, positive, motivated and passionate about providing a high quality holistic approach to the care and support of vulnerable children and young people.

Main duties of the job

  • Working as a specialist Counsellor with a vulnerable client group, with a clinical responsibility for their welfare.
  • Giving specialist advice across 4 CCGs and other organisations.
  • Contributing to strategy development regarding young people and mental health.
  • Clinical responsibility for one locality: North East Hampshire and Farnham.
  • Opportunities for developing Groups for our Children and Young People.
  • To recruit and co-ordinate placement counsellors, working within the YCS.
