Due to internal promotion of our current post holder, we are seeking a knowledgeable, committed, and proactive ER manager to lead our ER service. You will have demonstrable leadership skills tolead a team of HR Advisors and ensure a timely solution focused service to all levels of staff and managers. You will have extensive experience within a HR advisory role including the resolution of complex employee relations issues with excellent management, persuasion and negotiation skills, and a flexible approach to work.
Our wider workforce team includes Business Partnering team, Resourcing, Organisational and Learning and Development, Medical Staffing and Workforce Information functions. To be successful in this post, you will need to be a team player and be able to work collaboratively, building strong working relationships with colleagues within the Workforce Directorate, across the Trust and with external partners. There will be opportunities for learning and development throughout the year, including sector-specific skills development, conference attendances and employment law updates.
Main duties of the job
Providing leadership to the Divisional colleagues involved in ER work and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Developing Leadership ER capability and competency across the Trust building a consistent approach to HR management in a just and learning culture through the provision of insightful data
To work closely with the divisions to collectively ensure an effective ER service is provided to the Trust thereby ensuring the provision of legally compliant HR practice excellence through managing and mitigating workforce risks effectively
To take the lead strategic role on specific ER projects, work programmes and initiatives, including HR management in a just and learning culture, People Strategy, employment law, policy development, Staff Side Partnership working and major workforce transformation projects
Oversee development, reporting and administration of ER case management to support effective ER (KPIs) and identify trends from a cultural and/or EDI perspective
Support on all aspects of employment relations including disciplinary, grievance, sickness and absence management, capability, change management, redundancy, TUPE, MHPS and employment tribunals
Lead the ER team, Line manage the Snr HR Advisor, HR Advisors and HR Administrator
Lead on the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and oversee the Job Evaluation process
