Job summary

Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Trust is a £400m Acute NHS Foundation Trust, the largest provider of acute hospital services in Surrey. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Management Team.

Reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager, the post holder will work as part of the Financial Management team. The role primarily focuses on the provision of analytical services to the Financial Management team to identify key financial issues and enable accurate month end accruals to be made. The role will also assist with budget management and setting and perform a variety of finance related tasks to strict month and year end deadlines.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who is numerate, a team player, enthusiastic and conscientious, with good communication skills both verbal and written. The successful candidate will have advanced Excel skills and experience in analysing large amounts of data. We are seeking someone with previous experience working in a management accounts environment, preferably within the NHS, with some experience in month end reporting.

You will ideally be working towards an accounting qualification and a study package is available. Finance system training will be provided. You should have a passion for providing an exemplary service to the team and ultimately the patients, and have a strong sense of personal responsibility and achievement.
