Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to take on a challenging and highly rewarding senior leadership role within the Division. Building on the significant progress made in running operational services and delivering effective leadership balanced with scrutiny, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the division to ensure that operational delivery provides high quality patient care and enables the Trust to achieve its performance and quality objectives.
Working closely with the Divisional Director and Divisional Clinical Professional Lead the post holder will develop, direct, and lead service improvement and performance strategies and policies to support the delivery of flexible, efficient, effective, and safe services across the division.
You will have senior operational level experience within the NHS with proven expert management and leadership skills in a diverse, service-focused, complex organisation including staff management, change management, performance management, and service transformation.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for strategic leadership of the division and supporting operational management of services making sure that delivery guarantees high quality patient care and enables the Trust and the division to achieve their performance and quality objectives.
To be accountable for developing, directing and leading service improvement and performance strategies and policies to support the delivery of flexible, efficient, effective and safe patient care across the Division.
Responsible for the delivery of financial performance, productivity and human resource management targets across all services in the division.

- Significant previous senior managerial experience in a large and complex organisation preferably within the NHS along with service redesign and development across organisations or cross boundary
- Senior operational leadership over more than one discipline/function including financial and performance management
- Proven track record of operational management and delivery at a senior level in a large, complex, service-focused organisation, including staff management, change management, performance management, and service improvement
- Experience of managing significant change, whilst maintaining high standards of quality, in a large complex organisation

- A sound working knowledge of acute service provision and an understanding of the complexity of service delivery in a large organisation
