Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for nurses and support workers with relevant experience to join our team and be a part of our Endoscopy Unit.

We are looking for enthusiastic, independent and committed nurses and support workers to join our highly motivated team. We offer a supportive, friendly, and caring environment and an abundance of development opportunities from nursing apprenticeships through to practice development for experienced nurses. The unit operates from 8am to 7pm, 7 days a week, and is committed to delivering a high-quality patient focused service. As part of your development, you will have the opportunity to participate in the following services:

Out of hours rota for Gastrointestinal bleed

Nurse Consent

Pre Assessment

Breath Test clinics

pH Manometry and Capsule Endoscopy services

Main duties of the job

The Staff Nurse we are looking for shall be assigned in the Endoscopy Unit, Medicine and Emergency Services. The postholder shall be responsible and accountable to the Endoscopy Lead Nurse.

The postholder is expected to make an effective contribution to reaching the Trusts vision, strategic objectives and key work programmes and provide high quality care to the patients attending the Endoscopy Unit in relevant areas of practice and manage areas of practice in the absence of senior staff.

Internally the post holder will develop effective working relationships with:

Patients, carers, relatives and all members of the multidisciplinary team

Externally this includes

Locum Doctors and Nurses from other organizations.

Product Specialists coming to the Department

Carers of patients coming from Hospices and Nursing Homes
