Job summary

Come and join our dynamic, friendly, supportive team in The Rowley Bristow unit an Orthopeadic Outpatient Unit We are looking for a Full-Time (37.5) Nursing Associate at St Peters Hospital , Rowley Bristow team. We have a positive approach to development and value our staff, supporting regular training, supervision and appraisal.

Are you motivated, a good communicator and team worker, with Orthopedic or Outpatient experience plus organisational and prioritisation skills? If youre enthusiastic and committed to providing high standards, do get in touch.

We are a Monday to Friday service, however flexibility is essential as Weekend clinics can be offered to patients at short notice. We have extensive health and wellbeing support, including a recently opened wellbeing hub - free staff gym and excellent catering facilities. We support work/life balance and are happy to discuss flexible working at interview.

Main duties of the job

Assist in providing and developing good nursing care with patients in an Outpatients setting, be the Patients advocate when required ensure patients and the families are and feel included in their care ensuring that said practices are in accordance with department and hospital policy.

Assist in the establishment, monitoring and evaluation of agreed standards of patient care and quality service.

Establish an effective communication system with patients, their carers, and all staff working in the multidisciplinary team.

Assist with any appropriate evaluation projects and in the assessment of new equipment and technology.

Assist with the clinical and housekeeping practice and compliance with policy and procedures to prevent hospital acquired infection.

  • Familiarity with PAS/Cerner computer systems

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE Level English and Maths Grade C or equivalent
  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree/Higher Apprenticeship
  • Registered with the NMC
