Clinical Practice Facilitator, Theatres - Part Time 19hrs per week

Job summary
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced motivated practitioner preferably/ desirable with a dual role (anaesthetic and scrub) with a passion of sharing their knowledge through teaching to join our theatres professional development team.
This is a 50:50 dual role as you will be based in clinical practice and with the learning & development team. There is a strong emphasis on the clinical element to this role.
Your role as a Clinical Practice Facilitator will involve support of trainee nursing associates, learners preparing to undertake the UK NMC OSCE, undergraduate students, and newly qualified practitioners undertaking their preceptorship program.
As a Deputy Team Leader you will be expected to demonstrate being an excellent role model, and have the skills and knowledge to be an effective leader. You will be able to provide specialist clinical support and be encouraged to work towards acting up in the absence of seniors.
The successful applicant might be required to work across both Trust sites.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve working closely with the Clinical Practice Educator to create a suitable learning environment for staff by providing regular teaching and learning opportunities for all staff. You will be required to work clinically alongside trained staff, students and support staff to raise the standard of clinical practice in line with evidence-based frameworks and procedures/protocols
The successful applicant will be involved in supporting staff on action plans related to clinical competence required of individuals that are being managed both informally and formally according to the trust capability policy.
Together with learning development team, you will assist in coordinating all staff access to complete their mandatory training.
As a Deputy Team Leader, you will work closely with the Team Leaders and Theatre Coordinator in the establishment of a good working environment and in making the most effective/efficient use of staff, supplies and services.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they have a high level organisational skills including time management, the ability to confidently prioritise and organise clinical and managerial responsibilities. They will also be expected to participate in the effective clinical leadership and management of the team, including supporting and developing junior and new members of the team; and be committed to delivering a high quality service to ensure patient care, safety and experience is the best it can be.
