Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical Fellow to join our Respiratory Medicine team at St Peter's Hospital. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain extensive experience across all aspects of Respiratory Medicine, including lung cancer management, pleural disease, bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), and Medical Thoracoscopy. The position is ideally suited for a trainee at the ST6/IMT6 level in General Medicine who is aiming to pursue a career in Respiratory Medicine.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Fellow, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients within the Respiratory Medicine department. Your duties will include conducting ward rounds, managing out-patient clinics (routine and Two-Week Wait referrals), and performing practical procedures such as Bronchoscopy and Thoracocentesis under appropriate supervision. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery across the department.
In addition, you will be contributing to local and regional educational programs. There will be opportunities to engage in Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs), audits, and research initiatives, ensuring your ongoing professional development.
