Job summary
Come and join our dynamic, friendly, supportive team of specialist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists! We are looking for full time Therapy Assistant to work within our stroke team at St Peter's Hospital. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team supports patients from admission, through to discharge home or onward rehabilitation. You'd work mainly with Therapists but also alongside other health professions. We have a positive approach to development and value our staff, supporting regular training, supervision and appraisal.
You'll manage a caseload with guidance and support non-clinical duties too, like maintenance of equipment and data entry. You'll need to work flexibly sometimes in other areas, e.g. medicine and elderly care.

You'll work your hours over a 7 day period. There may be an opportunity for additional hours. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will:
Assist the therapy teams on the wards, offering a range of treatments under the guidance and supervision of qualified staff to facilitate patients reaching their optimum level of independence and social integration.
Support the therapy team in ensuring safe and timely discharges from hospital.
Participate in weekend working as part of contracted hours.
