Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced PA to join our Team.

You will be working on a busy Ophthalmology unit based at Ashford Hospital. You will be the first point of contact for Admin and Medical staff.

For this role you will need to be organized and have the ability to deal with busy clinics and demanding situations.

If you have strong customer service skills, excellent clerical and IT skills, can communicate effectively with staff we look forward to hearing from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Retrieve letters from the hospital Dictate IT system as necessary for relevant appointments.
  • To prepare notes for pre-assessment and for surgery and ensure they are properly tracked.
  • To obtain case notes required for audit and ensure they properly tracked.
  • To undertake clerical/administrative duties as required such as accurate filing, photocopying, stock ordering, opening and distributing post etc.
  • To liaise closely with the Ophthalmology Consultants on duty to ensure casualty referrals are graded within a timely manner and relevant information given to the appointment centre.
