Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic clinical psychologist with an interest in neuropsychology to join our multidisciplinary stroke service in a varied 0.6 WTE role.
The post is primarily focused on the Early Supported Discharge (ESD) team for southwest Surrey, based at Milford Hospital (0.4 WTE), with the remaining time offering a stroke outpatient clinic and input to the diabetes team based at St. Peter's Hospital in Chertsey. Supervision is offered from a consultant clinical neuropsychologist also working in the stroke team, and we have been previously been successful in accessing funding for post-graduate study in clinical neuropsychology.
We would also welcome applications from psychologists who are about to or who have recently qualified, under a Band 7 preceptorship.
Due to a quality improvement project in the service, there may be an opportunity for additional sessions (up to 0.4 WTE) on a fixed-term (1 year) basis, working as part of the neuropsychology team at the neurorehabilitation service in the Bradley Unit at Woking Community Hospital.
