Job summary

We have a great opportunity to join the Dietetic team at Ashford and St Peter's Hospital. We have a vacancy for a part-time (0.7 WTE) Band 6 Gastroenterology Dietitian. The successful candidate will be part of the Gastroenterology Dietetic team and be involved in delivering specialist outpatient services to our patients. Main duties of the job

You will join our gastroenterology dietetics team, which provides a service to adult gastroenterology inpatients and outpatients at Ashford and St Peter's Hospital. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team of 7 gastroenterology dietitians and a dietetic support worker.

This post has a strong outpatient focus, providing a specialist dietetic service for patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions including IBS, Coeliac disease, liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. You will be involved in delivering face to face, telephone and virtual appointments as well as group education sessions. You will be a part of our dietetic-led coeliac disease pathway and attend multidisciplinary team meetings.

In addition to clinical work, the post holder will have the opportunity to develop supervision skills by supporting junior staff and students, to actively participate in service improvement and audit and the opportunity to develop and deliver new ways of working.

Team working, excellent communication and prioritisation skills are essential.
