Job summary
We are pleased to advertise a 12-month fixed term position of Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post will focus on core and general urology and will be based at OUH.
The appointment is on a whole-time basis, but applications are welcome from those who wish to job share.

Clinical
The post holder duties will be split across the Churchill Hospital and Horton General hospital. Presence will be required in other parts of the Trust including the John Radcliffe Hospital. An input into research is not expected as part of this post, but research opportunities are available within the Trust, and appointees can apply for honorary status with the Nuffield Department of Surgery.
Clinical Governance
The post-holder will be required to participate in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management, quality improvement activities as required by the Trust, and external accrediting bodies.
Personal and Professional Development
The post-holder will be required to keep themselves fully up-to-date with Statutory and mandatory training and in their relevant area of practice and to be able to demonstrate this to the satisfaction of both Trusts.
The post-holder will have access to professional mentorship on appointment, and throughout their career as required, and will be supported by the Trust and the Directorate with Continuing Medical Education.
