Main duties of the job

Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.

Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.

Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.

Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques
A general understanding of computerised treatment planning systems.
Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment during that period
Current relevant experience
Experience and knowledge of all IGRT modalities

Evidence of post graduate study
