Main duties of the job

  • Financial Reporting and Budgetary Control
  • Developing financial performance management including analytics, support and challenge
  • Promoting excellent financial management, income, planning and management reporting trust wide
  • Developing and delivering the Trust's financial management strategy including the Trust's long term financial model
  • Leading the plans for delivering long term financial sustainability for the Trust
  • Developing and overseeing financial aspects of transformation, turnaround, efficiency productivity and change programmes
  • Providing expert financial input into major business cases and other plans
  • Driving successful planning and delivery of productivity, efficiency and change programmes
  • Leading discussions on the Trust's financial position with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the Director of Finance in the development of Financial Strategies and business planning arrangements to support patient care and to enhance the patient experience
  • Leading, motivating and developing a large team with 4 direct reports and the dotted line professional management of 4 Divisional Heads of Finance

The ideal candidate will be a confident, forward-thinking NHS finance leader with a proven track record of delivering both strategic vision and operational excellence. You'll bring a deep understanding of financial planning, reporting, and performance within a complex organisational landscape, along with the experience to lead and inspire large and diverse teams.
