Main duties of the job
The Divisional Lead for NMAHP Research and Innovation will collaborate with the partners to:o play a key role in aligning Corporate and Divisional research and innovation activity for the nursing, midwifery, AHP and the research workforce.o encourage and facilitate NMAHP research skills and potential across the partnership, and support the creation and implementation of provision and policy to enable opportunitieso Ensure that research and innovation activity can show clear benefits to patients, carers and our workforce.

The post holder will: Align research and innovation with the Division, Trust's and OxInAHR strategic goals. Participate actively in the Trust's strategic forums to share best practice and align standards with Trust policy, procedures and initiatives as relevant. Take on the responsibility of conducting a Divisional analysis of highly complex data to inform the research and innovation developments needed based on priorities and risks. Work together with Divisional clinical and research leads and Director of Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Research and Innovation to set up clear mechanisms to record, monitor and measure the outcomes of research and innovation activities. Work together with other Divisional Leads for NMAHP Research and Innovation and Director of Nursing: Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Research and Innovation to support the creation of a Trust wide, clear and consistent career pathway for clinical academic roles within the Trust and University. Support the development, progress and sustainability of clinical quality improvement initiatives within the Division, and where needed take a lead across the Trust and University to share best practice, Build and maintain relationships with Quality Improvement Teams to support further development of QI education, development and implementation in the Division and Trust ensuring appropriate methodology and application of learning to improve patient outcome. Support increased visibility of clinical practice development activities and outcomes through the initiation, promotion and support of research activities as agreed. Support the integration of clinical research delivery teams within the clinical areas within the Division. Maintain own research activity and portfolio through grant applications, conducting and supporting research as a CI/PI and research dissemination. Supervise students doing Doctoral studies and MSc dissertation supervision as required within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences
