Job summary

We are looking for intuitive,enthusiastic and versatile pharmacists to join our diverse and inclusive team to help us deliver excellent compassionate care to our patients. The pharmacy department at OUH comprises of over 100 staff in the clinical pharmacy team, and we work across all four hospital sites. This post offers a unique opportunity to work across a highly specialist area in paediatrics and AMS.

Main duties of the job

This is a split post where you will spend half of your time with the Pharmacy Paediatric Team and the other half with the Paediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS)/Infection Disease (ID) Team.

1. To be an active member of the Pharmacy department and specified clinical area, andto ensure continuous two-way exchange of information to maintain high standards ofmedicines use within the Trust.

2. To promote safe, effective & economic use of medicines within the Trust by appropriate and timely provision of clinical service, to optimise patient care.

3. To provide education and training in paediatric pharmacy area to Pharmacy staff,students and trainees.

4. To participate in, develop and provide clinical pharmacy services to paediatric clinicalareas, including specialist paediatric services.

5. To support the safe and effective use of medicines within clinical services.

6. To provide specialised professional and technical education to enable the paediatricservice to meet high standards of patient care and safety.
