8A Lead Specialist Nurse
There is a secondment opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead a team of nurse specialists within the Colorectal Nursing Service at the Oxford University Hospital Foundation NHS Trust for 5 days/37.5 hours per week. You will be mainly based at the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals, and will be responsible to provide a service for the Trust and the wider community, under the direct line management of the Matron. A job share may also be considered.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with a friendly and collaborative multi-disciplinary team and provide leadership to a group of band 6 and 7 specialist nurses who are dedicated to the care of patients with a range of colorectal disorders, including stoma, colorectal cancer and pelvic floor. We are looking for an individual who has extensive experience, at Band 7 in colorectal nursing and has the passion and desire to deliver a high standard of care to the patients, but to also lead this dynamic team. This is a rare opportunity to use your expert clinical skills and line manage an experienced and well established team. In return, you will gain opportunities to expand your existing leadership skills and other roles required to lead a busy department.
