This is the ideal job for someone with enthusiasm to progress in a specialist nursing role as well as being motivated and able to contribute to the on-going development of nursing practice.Whilst desirable, you might not have experience of the specialties nor skills in intraoperative settings or Plastics dressings, but you may have transferable knowledge and skills from working in another acute surgical specialty or in an outpatient setting which will make you suitable. You will also have excellent communication skills, experience of working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for somebody to work full time, 37.5hrs per week, one year fixed term contract enabling enabling one stop, see and treat clinic at a peripheral site Brackley Medical centre and at OUH sites. Our opening times are approx. 08:00 to 18:00. We aim to support requests for flexible working; i.e. compressing hours in to long days for example and encourage this to be discussed at interview or before.

Supportsone stop, see and treat clinics, supporting a Plastic Consultant in Outpatients clinic and works clinically as intra-operative Nurse (scrub & circulating) at Brackley Medical Centre and at OUH sites.
Undertakes Nurse Led Plastic dressing clinic, assessing and managing plastics speciality complex wounds.

- Supports Plastics Consultants in Outpatients clinic and works clinically as intra-operative Nurse (scrub & circulating) at Brackley Medical Centre.
- Undertakes Nurse Led Plastic dressing clinics and works clinically as intra-operative Nurse (scrub & circulating) at OUH NOC Plastics Minor Operations Service.
- Provide exceptional patient care which is underpinned by evidence based practice and OUH values.
- Work in partnership with the patients family and friends to be actively involved in the caring process on behalf of the patient.
- Communicate effective information to patients/relatives/carers/ and all members of the multidisciplinary team and Primary care teams.
- Demonstrate high standards of nursing care, reflecting the beliefs about professional nursing practice and patient care commensurate with The Oxford Model for Exemplary Professional Nursing and Midwifery Practice.
- Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of nursing practice relevant to the clinical area.
