Job summary

Band 3 Senior Housekeeper

The Emergency Department and Emergency Assessment Unit at The John Radcliffe Hospital currently has a vacancy for a senior housekeeper.

The successful applicant will be proactive, used to working with the public in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful applicant will work with our well-established housekeeping team to ensure the efficient working of both departments. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who can use their initiative and is able to work unsupervised.

We would ideally require working morning shifts on Thursdays and Fridays.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as an integral part of the Emergency Medicine team ensuring a high-quality service to patients and to provide a service that ensures that the patients' needs are satisfied and requirements are met
  • To assist the Emergency Medicine team to ensure that the appropriate and effective delivery of facilities services in order to properly maintain the patient environment
  • To supervise an effective waste segregation and disposal service ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and legislation
