Job responsibilities

he post-holder will participate in the services inpatient and outpatient activities. This will involve sharing the rota with the other doctors. The consultant staff will give in-service training and formal training; training agreements will be made at the beginning of the appointment and progress checked every 6 months.

• GMC Full Licence to Practice

Experience

Essential

• Experience of working at foundation level for at least a year
• Experience of working as a doctor in the NHS
• Good relationships and communications with patients, relatives, and colleagues

Desirable

• SHO jobs in surgical or acute care specialties
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery.

• Leadership skills
• Organisation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Audit experience
• Teaching experience

Desirable

• Knowledge of the organisation of the NHS and the Government's agenda for its modernisation
