Job summary
This is an exciting post for a lead highly specialist clinical physiologist to optimise efficiency and effectiveness of routine EEG appointments, with particular emphasis on monitoring demand, capacity, and audit of the service. The lead will also be required to perform a higher percentage of routine standard EEG recordings in the department with or without students observing or assisting.
The successful candidate would be encouraged to develop their medical knowledge with a view to becoming more effective in supervising the junior members of staff and advance the EEG service. Depending on funding there may be opportunities to gain qualifications to enhance the candidate's continuing professional development and their responsibilities in this role. The candidate would also be supporting the training lead and the neurophysiology team.
37.5hrs - The post is envisaged as working compressed hours over a 4-day week, however flexible working or reduced hours can be considered.
