Job summary

Main duties of the job

Following the promotions of both previous postholders, we are now looking to appoint and develop a new senior manager as Assistant Director of Workforce (Corporate & Resourcing). You will report to our Chief People Officer - recently awarded 'HR Director of the Year 2023' at the HPMA Awards - as a member of the People & Communications senior management team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to our Executive and Corporate teams on all People matters, supported by the Divisional Head of Workforce (Corporate)
  • Leading the operational delivery of the Trust-wide Recruitment Service, ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering a timely, effective and quality service
  • Responsible for high-quality operational temporary staffing services across the Trust, working with the outsourced provider to ensure delivery of the contract, and improvements in quality across a range of strategic temporary staffing issues.
  • Delivery of a comprehensive Medical Staffing service, providing advice and support, working in close collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and their team.
  • Providing outstanding leadership to a large team of informed and engaged HR professionals across a range of functions.
