The post-holder will be a highly experienced, knowledgeable practitioner who provides leadership in practice development and education to the non-medical workforce. They will role model best, evidence-based professional practice. Clinical educational support for learners at the bedside will be a substantial part of this role.
Main duties of the job
- To promote and demonstrate contemporary and proactive approaches to intensive care nursing practice and in collaboration with education links facilitate the advancement of this practice.
- Take responsibility for the strategic leadership of a Clinical Team.
- Work with the Matron to manage strategic planning for OCC/CICU, taking operational responsibility for the effective utilisation of relevant intensive care resources.
- Collaborate with the multi-professional team and provide direction and example for professional nursing practice.
