An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Energy and Carbon Data Officer to join a growing sustainability team, as part of delivering the NHS Net Zero strategy for the Estates Directorate at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Compilation and maintenance the GHG inventory and gathering, analysing and presentation of carbon data is essential to tracking, managing and communicating reductions in the Net Zero journey of the Estates Division/Directorate of the Trust.

Main duties of the job
To collect, collate and analyse data from various stream for tracking and monitoring energy and carbon.
Communicate and report on energy and carbon data to Trust staff and wider agencies and stakeholders.
To work with a high degree of trust and integrity with regard to accuracy and timeliness of reporting and communication skills.

Managerial Responsibilities:
Day to day management of a £35million non-pay budget for utilities.
Carbon data collection, calculation, analysis and monthly completion of the Greenhouse Gas Inventory for estates.
Collect activity data pertinent to estates such a energy, waste, water and travel data - from various sources including internal and external sources.
Using the relevant emissions factors convert to tonnes of CO2e
Analyse, record and share carbon tonnage and provide commentary on changes month on month and send on to relevent reporting channels.
Design surveys to collect activity data (such as travel miles) and analyse results included extrapolation, interpolation and propose data quality improvements.
Collect other relevant KPI data to provide relative as well as absolute emissions.
Development measurement criteria for carbon reduction projects in addition to energy and water.
Collate Greener NHS data collection quarterly returns.
Energy and water data management.
Manage consumption monitors and reaching in tenanted areas.
Plan asset surveys/audits, including risk assessments and statutory information and report back to the line manager.

- Must have additional post graduate level knowledge either through relevant post graduate diploma or equivalent experience
