Job summary
The post holder will be part of the GI and HPB radiology team and deliver imaging and biopsy services across the Trust. The post holder will lead/take part in the multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Additional subspecialty interests may be accommodated/supported,
The Trust has installed Insignia PACS and has image sharing agreements in place with regional hospitals, to support multidisciplinary team meetings and allow access to comparative images across the region.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to attend and present at regular GI MDT meetings. There are separate upper, lower and hepatobiliry MDT for cancer. There are also benign meetings for solid organ and luminal pathology. The post holder will also contribute to acute imaging, providing in-patient CT sessions and Ultrasound. The post holder will work at the Horton and Oxford Hospitals. It is a condition of the appointment that the post holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust's locations.

GIST, Hepatobiliary and pancreatic, Liver and intervention, Colorectal, anal and Cancer of unknown primary (CUP). Essential
- FRCR or equivalent
- CCT in Radiology, or within 6 months of achieving CCT at the time of interview.
- At least one year higher level training in GI /HBP radiology at a recognised training centre.
- Full GMC registration
Desirable
- Fellowship in GI/HBP imaging.
- Additional post graduate medical qualification
Experience

- General training in Radiology to Specialist Level or equivalent.
- It is expected that the applicant has reached core and higher competence in the vast majority of GI and HBP radiology as laid out in the RCR syllabus. This would include to perform and report specialised imaging techniques independently e.g. Ct virtual colonoscopy MR assessment of the anorectum MRI assessment of the liver and pancreas MR and CT enterography Anatomically relevant image guided biopsy and drainage Anatomically relevant fluoroscopic studies
- CT, MRI, fluoroscopy and US imaging of GI/HBP disease in a recognised training centre.
- CT, and US interventional skills
- Ability to make decisions at consultant level
- Ability to report GI/HBP imaging and on call cross sectional imaging independently
