Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Department of Acute General Medicine (AGM) at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, which offers excellent training in the management of the acute unselected medical take and the delivery of care on the acute ambulatory unit (AAU).

Main duties of the job

Daily Commitment:

Managing your team's patients on ward-rounds daily; supporting FY1s; assessing acute unselected medical patients on the acute take, clerking patients in the Ambulatory Care Unit and dictating discharge summaries daily.

We promote team-working and continuity of care. Junior doctor rotas are engineered to support this continuity and maintain a firm- or team-based working. Feedback from the juniors as a result is universally positive. We are an energetic department which is evolving in response to local and national demands in urgent care.
