Sleep and Ventilation Registered Nurse/Respiratory Physiologist
This Band 5 registered nurse or respiratory physiologist/scientist role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team, providing excellent care for patients with sleep-disordered breathing. You will develop/ further develop skills in diagnosis, management, and treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea, ventilatory failure, and respiratory muscle weakness, including initiation and management of CPAP and non-invasive ventilation.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of other Specialist Sleep Nurses, Physiotherapists, Physiologists, Doctors, Clinical Support Workers, and trainee respiratory scientists.You will work alongside your colleagues supporting patient via face-to-face or telemedicine clinics. Along with manning the telephone lines, and answering messages to both patients, and other medical professionals.

Essential
- Registered nurse part 1 or 8 or 12 or 15 of register, or undergraduate degree in Respiratory Physiology
- Post graduate level working evidenced via CPD portfolio. Relevant specialist post degree teaching/assessment/mentoring qualification
Desirable
- Completed or completing postgraduate level (HEI level 7) study
- Experience working in the field of Sleep and Ventilation
Knowledge

- Demonstrates up to date knowledge in the specialty
- Knowledge of the key professional issues and NMC/ARTP/Trust guidelines relating to professional practice
