Job summary

This is an exciting specialty role in the respiratory medicine physiotherapy team. It would suit someone looking to specialise in respiratory care and building a path towards advanced clinical practice in this area.

Main duties of the job

Dear candidate,

We are seeking a physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high quality evidence-based physiotherapy intervention in acute hospital respiratory services. The Respiratory Medicine Physiotherapy Team serves a diverse population of acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including those presenting with high acuity illness requiring non-invasive ventilation. This post is a critical part of a cohesive multiprofessional team working within the Osler Respiratory Unit; a 24-bedded newly refurbished ward specialising in respiratory care. The Respiratory Medicine Physiotherapy Team have been instrumental in the organisation's CoVID-19 response and recovery efforts. The team are now in a position to re-focus on the strategic and operational objectives set prior to CoVID-19 as part of the Therapies Clinical Service Unit (CSU) five-year strategy.

About us

Therapies employ 300 staff across the professions of Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. We are hosted in the Division of Medicine, Rehabilitation and Cardiac services (MRC), but deploy our services across all divisions within the Trust. The Head of Therapies Office comprises senior management, leadership, governance, education, research and administrative functions supporting ten clinical work streams, all of which are based on clinical disciplines and expertise and are led by clinical leads.
