Job summary
This is a fixed term post of 12 months duration due tocommence July 2025for Derbyshire Children's based at the Royal Derby Hospital, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust
Any applicant unable for personal reasons to work full time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed; modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Associate Director, but the out of hours commitment is fixed.
Main duties of the job
This is an amazing opportunity to take advantage of an exciting new post designed to help provide out of hours support at senior decision maker level in a award winning dedicated Children's emergency department who see over 36,000 children per year.
All posts come with the opportunity and supervision to develop an interest within the department and areideally suited to a ST4 equivalent doctor to decide if a career in PEM is for them and they wish to apply for Grid training in future OR a post CCT fellowshipenabling successful candidates to develop and complete a project that will help make them more competitive in the Consultant Job Market.
Simulation fellow:
To help develop and deliver a multi-disciplinary high fidelity simulation programme
- Contribute to and develop the current simulations occurring in the department.
- Instruct on in house Paediatric AIM, PLS, APLS courses
- Facilitate simulation based training events with the clinical skills teams.
