Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MRI Radiographer. This would be to support the MRI service at Queens Hospital Burton and other UHDB sites. UHDB MRI service delivery is provided by the use of state of the art Philips MRI scanners, Siemens Sola and an open Esaote Maginfico MRI scanner. Our MRI service consists of 10 MRI scanners, 8 x1.5T a 3T and a 0.4T, these are used to undertake a wide range of complex and non complex diagnostic MRI examinations including cardiac MRI.
The post holder will join our large and friendly team, and quickly become an integral part of our expanding service. The MRI services are operational 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, with a on call service currently at our Royal Derby Hospital site.
You will have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and have current registration with the Health and Professions Council (HCPC).
Main duties of the job

To provide a high quality and efficient MRI service for the Trust .

To work as part of a professional radiography team providing an excellent diagnostic service.

We expect the post holder to already possess excellent MRI and patient care skills.

Practice safely using the MHRA guidelines and department safety policies as guidelines

To participate in the departmental Quality Assurance Program, risk management and risk assessments.

To identify and actively promote best practice.

To provide staff and student training, to include CPD presentations as part of the radiographerseducation programme and to external bodies.

The successful candidate will be based at Queens Hospital Burton and will be expected to also work across our other UHDB sites depending on service needs.
