Job summary
Healthcare Cleaners provide a range of cleaning duties across the Trust and support services to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service to all patients, staff and visitors is delivered.
Basic knowledge of cleaning standards and previous experience of working in a hospital environment, which can include wards, outpatient /clinical areas, offices areas, and Public areas.

Main duties of the job
Use of mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment is desirable. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

- No formal qualifications are necessary, but the post holder must be willing to undertake necessary training to the role to acquire knowledge and skills.
Desirable
- Basic Numeracy & Literacy skills
- To be able to demonstrate knowledge of infection control policies, guidelines and procedures
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Basic knowledge of cleaning principles.
Desirable
- To be able to demonstrate knowledge of manual handling techniques
- To be able to work towards NVQ level 1 or 2 in Cleaning Building Interiors.
- Knowledge of COSSH (using chemicals safely.)
- To work towards Customer Service NVQ Qualification
- Undertake relevant IT training.
