Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity Team, to play a key role in staff and financial management of the Charity and to support the Charity on their journey to Charitable Incorporated Organisation status.
Main duties of the job
This post will be responsible for direct line management of the Charity Finance & Admin Assistants and the Charity Finance Apprentice, to include the delegation of tasks, supervision and performance appraisals for the
The post-holder will also play a key role in the Charity Finance Team responsible for the preparation of management accounting and budgeting information. This postholder will report to the Head of Charity Finance. The post will primarily lead and support the Charity Finance Team in the provision of monthly financial information and reports and other key outputs.
They will manage the oversight of financial enquiries and respond as required to enquiries received relating to charitable funds.
This postholder will provide dedicated support to and will be expected to work closely with Fund Managers (for the individual charitable funds) across all sites.
They will also be required to provide support to those contacting the Charity. This could include patients, relatives, or members of the public regarding how to make a donation to the charity. As well as relatives, Solicitors and Funeral directors regarding in memory donations and legacy payments for the Charity.
This post will also take a lead operational role in business development and improvements and the automation of the Charity Financial Processes.
