Job summary
Following significant investment in our neonatal nursing team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal team as a Band 7 Clinical Lead Nurse.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Neonatal Nurses to work alongside the current Band 7 senior nursing team managing Neonatal services across University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
Main duties of the job
The successful individuals will provide effective and visible leadership on our 2 Neonatal units, working cohesively with our existing senior nursing team
The successful applicants will take nursing responsibility for our cross site neonatal service ensuring expert nursing care to the babies on our 26 cot Local Neonatal Unit at Royal Derby Hospital and our 8 cot Special Care Baby Unit at Queens Hospital Burton as well as our newly commissioned transitional care units. Ensuring high standards of nursing care are provided, ensuring we promote patient safety and a positive patient experience across both sites.
This role is also about being an exemplar role model for the Nursing Team and steering their development and support. Applicants must hold a current NMC registration, and have a minimum 1 year post registration band 6 experience in Neonatal care.
The applicant must be qualified in Neonatal speciality and have recent clinical and leadership experience.
