Job summary
A new exciting opportunity has arisen in UHDB Voluntary services for a Voluntary Services Recruitment and Administration Officer.
We are looking for a reliable and flexible individual who can work within a small team and individually. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. We have a large and diverse volunteer services.
You will be responsible for administrating the recruitment of new volunteers and support with training and other office based duties associated with the voluntary services.
You must be responsive, and focused ensuring full compliance with the Volunteer and Trust Policies in its service delivery to volunteers, patients, staff and public.
You must hold a full clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle to enable you to travel across UHDB sites.
Main duties of the job
Arrange interview schedules and process volunteer checks on successful applicants for Right to Work, Occupational Health, criminal records, and reference checks.Liaise proactively throughout all stages of the recruitment process with applicants, to ensure they are aware of the progress of their application. Follow up any outstanding recruitment checks with relevant departments/areas such Occupational Health and reference checks.Administer the process associated with new starters including arranging new starter appointments with Voluntary Services Manager and Voluntary Co-ordinators.Facilitate new volunteer induction arrangements and assist the team with volunteer role specific training including room bookings and liaising with our learning and education team.Process information and volunteer documentation promptly using our systems of work such as better impact.Support the Volunteer Manager and Volunteer Co-ordinators in administration duties.Be actively involved in supporting all voluntary services events.Act as key point of contact for volunteers in the absence of the voluntary Services Co-ordinator and Voluntary Services Manager.
